2000's Style 03:29
I Know when you hit me with that 2000's style The notes I sing Won't come out Right I temper and melt as I Hit the ground My wiring's a mess as your frame Spins me around Waltz With me as I fade Into grime The love's all wrong but somehow it still feels Right I know when you hit me with that 2000's style The vibes I crave'll be satisfied I Hope when I see those blonde Eyes You'll give me my space until you're done in the past I hope when I hear those denim lies You'll wish to expire wants that wouldn't last

I didn't ever wanna live this way I can't stay I get a little bit more insane Everyday Isn't it such a story? Smothered hopes and nights of dread These days are boring Old ghosts drag me back to bed Old ghosts drag me back to bed Why don't you ever leave? I didn't ever wanna live this way I can't stay I get a little bit more insane Everyday It's been two months too long Why can't you be here with me? All the radio stations take me Drag me places to pretend Drag me places to pretend I don't ever wanna leave Be my Escape route I don't mean to run away from you Be my Escape route I don't need you I didn't ever wanna live this way I can't stay I get a little bit more insane Everyday

You know I'm really over All of this I don't wanna waste my time anymore Over Useless things You know what it does to me I could die As we lie awake Ignorance is bliss, they whisper to me Tell me One more lie I couldn't love you if I tried Tell me One more lie I couldn't love you if I tried You know I'm really over All of this I don't wanna waste my time anymore Over Useless things You know what it does to me Won't you try? Give it one more night Innocence is bliss Is all I've known Baby You're always sad I couldn't help you if I tried You know I'm really over All of this I don't wanna waste my time anymore Over Useless things You know what it does to me You know I'm over Over Over useless things you know what it does to me

Back then Baby we was kids Homegrown and lonely Now we're all but wastin' away I guess You'd say I'm lost Milk carton kids caught in a time of their own Oh Suburbs TV dinners and a White fence Who knew I'd ever escape? Blue eyes Dirty blonde hair and a gapped smile At least you tried I don't care what you got to say I'll do my own thing without you I guess I know You Won't Listen to me baby I got too much to say Oh Suburbs TV dinners and a White fence Who knew I'd ever escape? Blue eyes Dirty blonde hair and a gapped smile At least you tried

Retro Nights 03:43
19 85 and I'm a king Bet you wish you were with me Cuz you been lookin' for retro nights And another vintage scene As a walkman plays Static in my ears stays In the arcade Neon fades into gray I don't want it any other way I don't want it any other way No more You got enough on your mind As you play away all your life While you hit me from back to forth I'm just another high-score As a walkman plays Static in my ears stays In the arcade Neon fades into gray I don't want it any other way I don't want it any other way

about

This album has sounds ranging from dreamy synth-pop to grungy garage-rock. The majority of the songs draw inspiration from different times throughout the U.S.'s history. With songs about growing up in arcades and suburbs and more, the Retro Nights EP plays like a love letter to nostalgia itself; calling out for "better days" in the past that may not always be as good as they seem.
